Testimonials

"“You will overcome the odds and shine.”

Crystal Favel is an inspiring individual who embraces all aspects of her being, past present and future.

“I knew he saw the Great Spirit inside me.”

She does not simply survive – she thrives. She thrives on the teachings of others, the ability to cross a wide range of mediums and on the ability to pass her teachings and creations to others.

“It was the foresight of my ancestors and I was very proud to wear this skin of honour.”

Sometimes, our paths cross like a lightning bolt in the night sky. Each time Crystal crosses my path on our separate journeys, she strikes me with her poise, ambition, and passion to both honour her ancestors and do something meaningful. Her music, writing and persistence inspires and heals."

Motivational Speaker, Published Writer and Spoken Word Artist

Crystal Favel

Crystal Favel has reached out to over 400,000 fans in hopes to inspire the world through motivational writing, speaking and production events.  To contribute to the solidarity of the Native Community she founded her own multimedia production company, “Urban Indian Productions Inc.”  She is a proud member of the Métis nation, born in North Vancouver and currently residing in Vancouver, BC.  Her trail blazing ideas and projects exude innovation and excellence as she follows in her ancestral footsteps and writes her heart out in music, prose and communication products.  She received her first writing commendation in grade three and received outstanding story recognition at such a young age.

By the time she was 18 years old she had several of her published works featured in Beedaudjimowin Newspaper in Toronto, Ontario.  Such examples of interviews, book reviews and conference reports were published by Beedaudjimowin as part of a three month internship as an Aboriginal Photojournalist.  Throughout her writing journey she has received training and gained knowledge at Ryerson University in Toronto and Emily Carr University in Vancouver as a published writer.

Crystal Favel has 20 years of multimedia experience, 10 years leadership experience, several awards, certificates and milestones that validate her mission and positive attitude.   During herseven year career with the public service she wrote feature articles for Communications and won awards in Transport Canada for her motivational hard work.   She has been deemed as “Blazing Trails” by the Aboriginal Business Quarterly and wrote two interviews that were published by the national Aboriginal newspaper Windspeaker.  In the past five years her writing has been published by Spirit Magazine Toronto, Third Space University of Victoria, Lac Du Flambeau Tribal News and was featured by SAY Magazine, Native Threads and Native Wear in the USA.

Through her own healing, she uses her compelling story to do motivational speaking and storytelling in order to reach different audiences of various races and ages.  Crystal has toured Canada to share her story of survival and success to many youth who are living in her past.  Some of her notable speaking achievements are the Kamloops CANDO Conference Leadership Panel, NACCA Youth Entrepreneur Symposium Leadership Panel and the Chiefs of Ontario Youth Symposium.  Crystal breaks down the barriers of silence and unleashes her story of resilience and survival to those who need to be inspired.
