Crystal Favel has reached out to over 400,000 fans in hopes to inspire the world through motivational writing, speaking and production events. To contribute to the solidarity of the Native Community she founded her own multimedia production company, “Urban Indian Productions Inc.” She is a proud member of the Métis nation, born in North Vancouver and currently residing in Vancouver, BC. Her trail blazing ideas and projects exude innovation and excellence as she follows in her ancestral footsteps and writes her heart out in music, prose and communication products. She received her first writing commendation in grade three and received outstanding story recognition at such a young age.
By the time she was 18 years old she had several of her published works featured in Beedaudjimowin Newspaper in Toronto, Ontario. Such examples of interviews, book reviews and conference reports were published by Beedaudjimowin as part of a three month internship as an Aboriginal Photojournalist. Throughout her writing journey she has received training and gained knowledge at Ryerson University in Toronto and Emily Carr University in Vancouver as a published writer.
Crystal Favel has 20 years of multimedia experience, 10 years leadership experience, several awards, certificates and milestones that validate her mission and positive attitude. During herseven year career with the public service she wrote feature articles for Communications and won awards in Transport Canada for her motivational hard work. She has been deemed as “Blazing Trails” by the Aboriginal Business Quarterly and wrote two interviews that were published by the national Aboriginal newspaper Windspeaker. In the past five years her writing has been published by Spirit Magazine Toronto, Third Space University of Victoria, Lac Du Flambeau Tribal News and was featured by SAY Magazine, Native Threads and Native Wear in the USA.
